Cherokee County, Georgia, Death Indexes

In 1919, the Georgia Legislature passed a law requiring civil registration of deaths within the state of Georgia. Deaths are registered in the county where the death occurred and a copy of the death certificate is filed with the state Bureau of Vital Statistics. Since 1919, the State has maintained yearly indexes to the registered deaths.

The indexes herein are created from the microfiche version of the state indexes.
